My home is a welcoming, warmly decorated space. There are only 2 people in this townhouse, a guest and myself (the host) and as a meditator I have created a home with a calm atmosphere. The guest bedroom is a spacious master bedroom, with a queen bed, a desk, 2 dressers and a large closet. The guest uses the shared three piece bathroom beside their bedroom. The balcony overlooks a peaceful backyard. I am an active retired woman who keeps fit with outdoors activities such as cycling, kayaking and hiking. This home is maintained as an unscented environment that is ideal for individuals with environmental sensitivities and allergies. I kindly request that you do not wear any scented products while visiting.
I do not rent to visitors with dogs or children.

About the Area

The room is located in the west end of Ottawa on a major bus route, in a quiet neighborhood, across from a park. Walking distance to restaurants and food stores, a 10 minute drive to a shopping center and Britannia Beach. There is a large green belt (forested area with walking/cycling paths) located a 5-minute walk from the house.

Scent Free Environment
This is an unscented environment; therefore, I kindly request that you do not wear any scented products, such as perfume/cologne. Unscented personal care products are provided for use during your stay (unscented shampoo, soap, aftershave, hair gel, deodorant).

No smoking indoors or near the outside of the house.

Kitchen
If you use the kitchen, please clean up afterwards.

No children, no smoking, no pets

After 11 pm please maintain a quiet environment and use a headphone for listening to music, the radio and watching movies.
The laundry room is in a shared space that I sometimes use for yoga, meditation and computer use. Please give me a heads up prior to using the laundry facilities, so that I can move my activities to another room.

To ensure SAFE operation of the space heater, for supplemental heating, in the guest bedroom:
• turn the dial on the top, right side of the device to the icon that looks like a single flame. Do not turn the dial to the icon that looks like two flames, as it will blow a fuse. The “X” icon turns on the fan and no heat.
• keep the thermostat (the dial on the top, left side of the device at, or below, the arrow mark indicated on the thermostat.
• unplug the heater when sleeping, or not in the room
• keep the heater away from flammable objects, such as walls, the bed, and fabric.

Payment/Refund
Once you receive the booking confirmation you are requested to pay the first month in full by e-transfer.

Cancellation policy:
Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in. No refunds for cancellations made less than 7 days prior to check in.

How do I book?

Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.

When do I pay?

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.

When can I share my contact details?

Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
