Beautiful condo right on the lake....did that get your eyebrows raised with excitement?
I live in a beautiful, modern 2bdrn/2bth condo on the lake....we have a private dock for swimming, fishing, canoeing, or even just relaxing, if that is what your heart desires. We are five minutes from anywhere. City transit is right outside the door, although if I am home, I would have no problem driving you or being your guide for the day or?
The city of Nanaimo has one of the largest shopping malls on the Island, as well as some of the finest dining. Beautiful beaches, hiking trails, great downtown shopping with many "boutique style shops, oh and we even have a real "mountain" to climb.
Nanaimo, I would have to say, is a city that contains the best of both worlds...with amazing outdoor activities, seriously they are endless....but also is an amazing "chic" city for the shopper and the foodie's out there. We are 2 hours away from beautiful Mount Washington, 4 hours away from Tofino (some of the best surfing in the world), and roughly 2 hours away from Victoria (nice day trip).
This is a 1bdrm accommodation, and unfortunately not suitable for children. Non smoking, although you can smoke outside on the deck. A light breakfast is included in the price of your stay each day. This is also a non pet home with hardwood flooring to make things easier for those with allergies.
I am 45, funny (or I think so), love the outdoors, LOVE this lake I live on, and absolutely am in LOVE with this city I live in. I am really easy to get along with and love meeting new people. I can be your host or if you need, your tour guide as well, or at the very least have an itinerary set up for you if you like prior to your arrival for added convenience for you :)

Additional Info
In addition to the 15% deposit required by HomeStay, at time of booking, I will require an additional 15% to cover cost incurred preparing for your stay (food, welcome basket, toiletries, bus passes, lost bookings, etc) if you cancel 21 days or less, prior to your booked visit. If another booking is made within that time, your deposit will be 100% refunded, if no booking is made, the deposit will be non refundable. Please understand, I am a planner and wish for your visit to my city to be everything I would want it to be if it were my visit/vacation, so I plan well in advance to ensure I cover all aspects of your adventure. I just want to be able to offer a great experience for both you and I and not have to worry about cost incurred due to short notice cancellations. **Any cancellations due to illness (with a physicians note) will be 100% refundable.**

About the Area
I am located in a condominium on Long Lake, across the street from Rutherford Mall which contains London Drugs, Target, Canadian Tire, Galaxy Movie Theater, McDonald's, just to name a few.....5 minutes to Woodgrove Mall, Cactus Club, Original Joe's, Starbucks, etc.
10 minutes to hospital, 10 minutes to down town core. 2 seconds to lake!

House Rules
Please keep my home secure by ensuring doors and windows are locked (keys will be provided).
Kitchen is open to all guest, please ensure we keep this area clean.
Noise bylaws are in effect 10:30pm till 8:30am 7days a week.
Only those booked in will be permitted on premises (this includes the building) unless prior arrangements and permission has been issued.
No children allowed (sorry about that one)
Loss of keys will result in a $50 charge ( this is the fee I will be charged by my strata to replace them)
Last but not least.....I have invited you into my home....opened my doors to you....PLEASE take you shoes off and get comfy....yes this is a great way to earn some extra cash, but for me it is more so a great opportunity to meet people and learn about where you are from, and like I said previously, I love my city and would really love to help you fall in love with it as well....so what I really want.....is for you to go home with a huge smile on your face, because you made a new friend, and had an amazing time in NANAIMO BC!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
