We have a 4 bedroom home in Coquitlam. We are in our early 60’s. We keep our home very clean. Close to buses, malls, library, skytrain. No pets, non-smokers. Enjoy learning about new cultures and want to travel when we retire.
We have a large kitchen, breakfast area and family room with open floor plan.
Separate kitchen is available for guests to use.
KITCHEN RULES:
Kitchen can only be used between 7am and 6pm. Preferably only twice a day.
Clean up sink, counters and oven after each use.
Put away all dishes and pots and pans and utensils used and where they were found.
Remove garbage from kitchen catcher and when food bin is full.
Beautiful parks are nearby.
Ask guests with long stays to clean up their personal space.
No shoes in the house.
Noise to kept to an absolute minimum.
Do not use your cell phone on speaker when in common areas.
Turn off lights when you leave your room.
Do not leave heating on when not home.
Keep your room clean at ALL times.
Long term stays will require a 50% deposit is required once agreed.
If long term stay then 1st month is required upon agreement. Then monthly payments.
Home is close to the following:
Bus stops are 2 minutes walk from home.
Coquitlam Centre Mall - 10 minutes by bus.
Lafarge Park - 5 minutes walk.
Rocky Point Park - 15 minutes by bus.
Wal-Mart shopping is in Coquitlam Centre
Coquitlam Recreation Centre
Douglas College
Full set of house rules will be given to guests upon arrival.

Meals

House Rules
Keep the kitchen clean. Wash your own dishes.
Free to use the kitchen and cook if you like - separate kitchen for guests to use. Kitchen must be kept clean after cooking. Clean oven after cooking. Put away dishes, pots and pans after washing. Cleaning supplies will be available.
Keep your room tidy and clean up after yourself.
Remove trash from your room and bathroom regularly. Cleaning equipment and supplies will be available.
No cooking after 7pm. Only use of microwave is allowed.
No shoes in the house. You can wear indoor slippers inside the home. Keep noise level to a minimum at all times. No running in the house.
Laundry - 1 - 2 days a week. No laundry to be done between 4pm and 6pm and not later than 9pm for last load In the dryer. Please provide your own laundry products for long term stays for one month or more.

Selma and Hanif are amazing. They were very hospitable, kind and helpful. We had a wonderful stay at their house and felt as comfortable as our own. Everything was always very clean and tidy and we really enjoyed their friendly behavior. And we hope to see them again.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
