Rent out your spare room on Homestay.com

If you want to rent out a spare room in your home then look no further than Homestay.com. To list your room on Homestay.com you need to be living in your home because we don't accept empty rentals. We understand that you won't be there all the time, but we ask that you always welcome and orientate your guests.

Our homestays guests come from all walks of life:tourists, professionals, university students, language students and interns. You decide who stays with you and when, as guests must request to stay with you first.

Just like there are different kinds of guests there are varying kinds of hosts too. Some hosts like to be a personal tour guide and cook for their guests, others are busy professionals renting their room long term and let guests do their own thing. Whatever kind of host you plan to be, make sure it’s clear in your listing as it's important guests know what to expect.

If you like meeting new people, renting your room with us could be one of the best things you'll ever do. You’ll meet people from all around the world without ever leaving your own home! Of course the extra money you make along the way renting out your spare room will come in handy too.

How do I get started?

How will I get paid?

Normally the guest pays a 15% booking fee (maximum fee of 199 $£€) of the price of stay to confirm the booking. You’ll receive the price of the stay directly from the guest on arrival.

Some hosts (depending on your country and currency) can avail of our Deposit payment option to protect against cancellations. This means guests must pay 25% of the price of the stay and the booking fee to confirm the booking. This 25% deposit payment is paid to you 2 business days after the scheduled arrival date.
