Being a host is a great way to meet people from all over the world, share your insider knowledge of your local area and earn some extra money. If you have a spare room in your home and would like to become a host, you can create your listing today for free!

Click on ‘Become a host’ and complete a simple 8-step process to create your homestay listing. Remember, you have to be living in your home when guests stay and provide a light breakfast.

Here’s how the sign-up process works:

1. Tell us about you

This part is simple – just fill out your name, email address and phone number to get started on the sign up process.

2. Tell us about your home

Describe what type of home (apartment, villa, etc.) you live in and outline any house rules for guests.

3. Location, Location, Location

Provide details about your local area and directions to your home.

4. Amenities

Tell us what amenities you offer guests, for example, WiFi, satellite TV, parking. You’ll also be asked for information about the local amenities nearby.

5. Room set up

Give details about the room(s) you want to rent to guests. Single or a double? Ensuite bathroom? This is where you provide any relevant information about the room.

6. Availability

You’re almost finished. First you just need to update your availability calendar and block out any dates you’re unavailable to host guests.

7. Photos

Great photos will attract guests to book your homestay. Don’t underestimate the importance of including well-lit, clear photos that showcase your home at its best. Include the best photos possible – make sure the room guests will sleep in looks neat and tidy. Include a minimum of three photos – guest room, front of your home, and most importantly, a photo of you.

8. Other info

What are your hobbies? Are there pets in your house? Do you allow smoking? This is the final part of the sign-up process.

Once you’ve completed your profile, we’ll review it and put it live on the site. Guests can then book to stay in your homestay. We look forward to welcoming you into our global, online community of homestay hosts.
