There is only a room available to be rented now because my son has moved to live with us during the pandemic. A room with a brand new queen bed and this is our secondary site.
We dont provide breakfast due to strict local council regulations.
A great place to stay if you come to Sydney for sight-seeing, a conference, Tennis, Swimming or Rugby and other sport Tournaments, Shows at Sydney Olympic Park Precinct.
Nestled in the beautiful suburb of Newington which is the former Sydney Olympic Village, the home is about 15 km inner west of downtown Sydney.
This suburb is surrounded by hundreds of hectares of park and Aussie bush lands, Olympic sporting facilities, walking and cycling paths are everywhere in this leafy Oasis.
A small shopping Market-Place is only 300m away with a large supermarket, multicultural restaurants(Japanese, Korean, Thai, Middle Eastern, Pizza and Sea Food restaurant) and several cafés, hair salons, banks, medical centre, pharmacy and dentist are all there.
Our private room have a queen size bed, a large built-in wardrobe and the marble bench top bathroom is just next door to the rooms. You can also use the courtyard outdoor entertaining/BBQ area with a nice garden.
The owners are empty nesters. The husband works for NSW Dept. of Education and is multilingual. Breakfast is not provided due to new strict local government regulations. Free use of Wifi and if you need to print our plane tickets etc, you may use our computer/printer.
After exploring bustling and hustling Sydney, you will find this place a beautiful sanctuary to recharge your battery for the oncoming activities. The owners, the place and its surrounding are a pleasant surprise for your stay in Sydney. Public transport include: train and ferry are a walking distance and bus stops are only 400m away.
If you are doing sight-seeing, buy the Opal Card which allows you to travel on trains, buses, city light rail and ferries. It also allows train travel to the Blue Mountains, other two major cities in New South Wales - Newcastle and Wollongong.
Guests may use our kitchen facilities. Moccona coffee and tea are free.
The accommodation is great for older and young travelers or long stay student/professional who love a very clean and comfortable room at a reasonable rate. And for those who feel bored at hotel, this is a nice family environment for you. We both are very relaxed and easy going.

* NOTE THAT SHOES ARE NOT WORN INSIDE THE HOUSE.
*THERE ARE TWO ROOMS TO BE RENTED OUT. IF TWO ROOMS ARE OCCUPIED AT THE SAME TIME, THE BATHROOM WILL BE SHARED FOR SHOWER. THERE IS A POWDER ROOM DOWNSTAIRS WITH A TOILET, SO THERE WONT BE ANY WAIT FOR TOILET. IF ONLY ONE ROOM IS OCCUPIED, YOU HAVE THE BATHROOM TO YOURSELF.
The price you see is the price you pay there are no further discounts as the discounts are already included within the price if booking weekly or monthly, my accommodation is cheap anyway so please do not ask for further discounts.

*We don't wear shoes inside the house (socks only). Please do not bring flip flop to walk around as it would defeat the cultural purpose. If you like walking with bare feet, bring short sport socks.
*The room is for maximum of two people, no more than two.
*No outside guests are allowed to be brought in to share the room with you.

*No bringing guests from outside for party etc
*No loud noises
This is a very nice, warm and polite family environment to live in. Guests are expected to behave like living with your friends and family while the host will respect your privacy and cultural differences.

So very happy that I decided to listen to the reviews and stay with these wonderful people. Genuine, kind and lovely. Close enough to transport and shops. Andrew and Kurina were also very helpful with suggestions of activities and places. As a young, single female, I felt very safe and cared for but also independent. I cannot recommend enough how pleasant this experience was.

Andrew and Kurina are the most gracious and accommodating of hosts. Their home is beautiful and well maintained. Public transport and local shops a short walk away. Olympic Park is an easy 20 to 30 minute walk away or a short bus ride. Lovely neighbourhood where you wake to the sound of birds.
The room was spacious and the bed was so comfy I wanted to take it home with me. Heaps of hot water for a long shower and use of the house as if it were my own. It was lovely to have someone to have a chat with at the end of a long day.
My first time staying in a private home and my experience could not have been better. Totally recommended.May 2016

Andrew and Kurina are one of the most beautiful couple and so warm hosts.. Staying with them is like living at home away from home.. exceptionally neat and clean and very comfortable with all amenities in place.. For me an obvious choice for any of my future visits to Sydney :).. thanks to both Andrew and Kurina..

The home that Andrew and his wife Kurina have in Newington is great. They are both very friendly and welcoming. They showed me around the house and made me feel very welcome. The house was an easy 15-20min walk to Sydney Olympic Park. I would recommend this place to everyone!! I know I will definitely be staying here again.

Andrew and Korina are wonderful hosts who have a well kept, beautiful home. They have some basic breakfast on offer and always willing to ensure my stay was going well. Being so close to Sydney Olympic Park, with a lovely 15 minute walk through some park like settings made it a great place to stay. The room was very comfortable and clean, the bed was super cosy too.
I would highly recommend staying with them for an event at Olympic Park.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
