Our home is in the cosmopolitan inner west if Sydney. We are a short walk from train station and tram and in 10 minutes, you can be in the city centre.
On arrival, we will be home to greet you (unless it is during working hours) and we will make sure you are comfortable. If we are not home, we will make sure we communicate where the keys are so you can let yourself in and make yourself at home.
I am very helpful when it comes to tips on visiting places in the city and beyond. I really enjoy hearing about the experiences that people have when they visit our wonderful city.
We have had the pleasure to host many wonderful people from around Australia and the world and will always welcome you to sit down for a cup of tea and a conversation with us. Alternatively, if you like your space, we are very respectful of this.

About the Area
Lewisham is very close to the city centre. There is a train station five mins walk away and in 15 min, you can walk to enjoy the quirky shops and many eateries in Summer Hill. Our street is quiet with minimal traffic. There is a beautiful park with an outdoor pool 8 minutes walk away. Lewisham is close to many local hotspots including Leichhardt, Marrickville and Newtown.

Weeknights - we sleep early so no loud noise after 9.30.
We are awake by 6 and out the door by 7am on a weekday so please be mindful of bathroom at this time.
Put dishes in dishwasher when finished eating.
No showers after 9pm.

Sharyn is a very friendly, helpful and responsive host with good recommendations for Sydney.
The accommodation is as described - about a 4 minute walk to/from the train station Lewisham. There's also some bus stops nearby. Since Sharyn and her daughter were away for New Year's Eve, I was alone in the accommodation - with the cat. Thanks Sharyn for letting me stay at your home/house!Host reply

Yes it was a tricky time for me to be around given my
Moms health. I’m sorry we didn’t get more time to chat but I really wanted to be with my mum, especially given her comments about death.

My stay at Sharyn’a was absolutely phenomenal. It was my first time using the Homestay platform, and though hesitant, I am so glad I went through with the booking! Sharyn made me feel right at home, was such a wonderful and warm host and we had some fantastic chats together. Her daughter is such a ray of sunshine and I had such a great time playing with her and hanging out with her!
Billson the cat is the sweetest, most placid kitty I’ve ever met and I fell in love with him INSTANTLY, within five minutes of meeting him he decided that he was my friend!
Overall, I had the most incredible stay and I’ll absolutely be coming back to Sharyns place the next time I’m in Sydney!!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
