It was a nice stay. The place is clean and tidy. Linda was helpful. Overall, a good experience.

Linda and her family are quiet people from an asian background and culture from Shanghai, living in their recently acquired home , the bedroom room was large , bed and linen clean and the bathroom was easily accessed. A place to sleep, I assume as the basics of the home stay experience. Your other choices for accommodation is a hotel or motel or backpackers hostel, stayed in them all , here and overseas but the price. Linda was the only one who responded very quickly to my request to see if a room was available. So much can be said for the other hosts who did not bother to reply, and if they did reply what would the reason be for refusing to host?
Hosting would be a difficult experience, some stranger lurking around your home so I think it takes a lot of trust in selecting your guest , In hind site I would have liked to spend little more time with Linda and her family
to find out her thoughts on moving to Australia and starting out building a new life and home perhaps pottering around in the veggie garden and sharing a home cooked chinese quisine meal .
Just bear in mind, Linda is new to hosting so there is room for improvement and I believe that will come with time and experience, just like driving. In short , I found Linda to be friendly and possibly finding the communication with an older male person challenging.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
