We never met Doris. The accommodation she gave us was not in Brinsmead. It was in a very old and crowded house in a sleezy part of Cairns City. We were expected to share this house with four other people. There was only one bathroom and one old toilet. The kitchen was small and under equipped for such a stay. To get to the bathroom from our bedroom we had to climb round a single bed. Our bedroom door could not be locked and blew open every time a gust of wind came through the front door. The house was on a main traffic route the traffic noise was horendouse from the interstate trucks passing through. There was no promised swimming pool. We felt deceived and after one night moved to other accommodation.

Doris took loving care of us. She took an entire day to transport us around Cairns, to our dive boat, the Botanical Gardens, and into the forest to the waterfalls. She made us a picnic lunch and a great pork roast meal with wine. Blessings on you Doris.

Good location away from tourist areas and handy to shops. The cooked breakfast was a nice surprise.

When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
