My home is a large high rise brick home with 5 bedrooms, two kitchens, two living areas and a large-one room granny flat with separate kitchenette ideal for a couple who would like a little privacy on their vacation. I live with my 31 year old son as well as two beautiful cats, Milo and Harley. Our home has an IG pool and large back yard. The home is in a leafy safe neighbourhood of Ormiston in Qld with a short walk to shops, bus stop, cafes, parks and Ormiston College. We are also close to Cleveland where the ferries depart for North Stradbroke Island. The island is known for whale watching and other tourist attractions/fun things to do. We are also close to Victoria Point, Wellington point, Cleveland point and Raby Bay Harbour where there are beaches and beautiful seaside views, breathtaking sunsets, BBQ facilities, and many great restaurants/cafes. Redlands Indigiscapes Centre offers bush walks, Native botanic gardens and family fun activities. My home is an hour train ride to Brisbane or 45 minutes drive. A bus stop to Brisbane is a minute walk from home and 10-15 minutes walk to the train station. I have taught English as a second language in China, Vietnam and Spain as well as in Aust. I am offering 2 hours formal IELTS or general English lessons free to my homestay students. I will also familiarize homestay guest with the area/ activities to do in the surrounding areas by giving them a tour on their first day or when they wish. I am very happy to welcome International students for the duration of their study in Qld. I am also happy to welcome guests on short vacations. I enjoy being a homestay Host and making the homestay experience for guests a fun and enjoyable stay.

About the Area
My home is in the Redlands which includes Ormiston, Raby Bay Harbour, Wellington Point, Cleveland point, Victoria point and Capalaba which are all areas for recreation-IE swimming, fishing, parks, picnic & BBQ facilities, gym facilities, playgrounds, cafes, restaurants, great shopping, as well as two Ferry ports to travel to the Mortan Bay islands, North Stadbroke, Macleay, Russell, Lamb, Karragarra, Coochiemudlo islands which are popular tourist place. One of the many activities to do on North Stradbroke island is whale watching and needless to say all water sports and other family activities including day trips, cycling, nature adventures, history, art, marine life, fishing/boating, sailing, bird life, flora/fauna bush walking. One of my favourite things to do to relax is to walk over to King Island from Wellington point foreshore when the tide is out. It takes about 20 minutes stroll to and from King Island. My house is close to shops, cafes, restaurants, transport, and parks. A two minute walk to a bus stop which takes 45 minutes to get to Brisbane and 10-15 minutes walk to a train station which takes one hour to get to Brisbane.

Penny was such a lovely host and made us feel home from the first moment. Her hospitality was beyond all expectations and she took care of us in the best way. The house was very comfortable and offered a lot of space for everyone. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Penny was very accommodating and everything was very comfortable. Bathroom was a bit small to share with everyone. Family room and kitchen area was nice and big and comfortable. I would stay again if needed.
