A single older lady who will be your Aussie mum. I live with my 2 dogs and a cat who thinks he's a dog. I have a 2 storey home with a deep cool pool for summer and a big backyard with a lovely garden in the suburbs of Brisbane in a very quiet area. There is a great patio area off the kitchen which overlooks the pool area.
A small shopping centre is 5 minutes walk from the house. There is a gym. Public transport is also a 5-minute walk from the house. There is citylink available which goes to Darra station in the mornings and return you in the afternoon. A larger shopping centre is a 10 minute bus ride from the house.
There are 3 rooms available.
1. Double bed, en-suite, A/C and ceiling fan, insect screens and built-in wardrobes. A desk will be supplied.
2. Double bed, shared bathroom, fan, insect screens, built-in wardrobe and desk
3. Single bed, shared bathroom, fan, insect screens, built-in wardrobe and desk with air-conditioning
Student lounge area with TV and DVD player. I have wi-fi to connect to.
I love to read and assist anyone who needs help with study. I have 2 Teaching qualifications and I am a registered teacher so I understand the study needed to achieve your goal. I have a blue card, number 372181/5. I also have a 1st aid qualification. I speak 2 languages English and Australian which at times can be very difficult to understand.
I have had students before and I am still in contact with them. They are my international Aussie kids and you can become one too.

About the Area
My home is a 2 storey home with a pool, large garden and paved shaded area for quiet contemplation in a quiet area of Brisbane. I live in the Southwest of Brisbane close to shops and public transport. There are many parks in the area with walking tracks. If you have a bicycle you can make use of the cycle ways. There is also a golf course close by.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
