Bungalow at rear of house, the room size is 2.6x3.6m or 10'x13' in the old scale. Very private, separate entrance, smoke detector connected to mains & RCD power points installed, fire extinguisher. The room has heating, WiFi and air-conditioning is available for hot summer days.
Non smoking environment with friendly pets.
Single father with two adolescents at home; soccer is our sport of choice. We regularly go on 4x4 trips across the state for both day trips and weekend camping. If there is room in the car you are welcome to come along.
Some French is spoken by one member of the house.
The interior of the house is cosy and made for feeling relaxed. Outside there is a large back yard with fruit trees, vegetable garden & soon there will be chickens with plenty of shade in the summer.
Public transport is a little over 100m away and access to trains and trams is close by.
Deakin uni is a 15 minute walk through the Gardiner creek reserve.
All household members over the age of 18 have been checked and approved by the Department of Justice Victoria & provided with a current Working with Children's Card (WWCC) allowing student's under 18 to stay at residence in a safe and caring environment.

Linen and towels provided toiletries can be arranged and bathroom is a shared facility.
Room is keyed and deadlocked, windows have flyscreens.
Smoking is permitted outside of buildings and away from entrances and windows.

About the Area
Our house is located within walking distance to Deakin University. There are 3 buses that are close by which will take you to trams and trains. Box Hill is a major transport hub & shopping centre, the area is rich with different cultures and cuisine. We are located south of Box Hill in a quite court in a very safe neighbourhood.

I cannot absolutely understand why a basement should be leased and uploaded this lease information on homestay.com.

I was glad I decided to stay with Konrad in Melbourne as he and his family made me very welcome. Konrad is very helpful and knows a lot about the area, Melbourne, Australia and the world and we had a lot of chats about many different things. The accommodation was just what I was looking for and was spacious and comfortable. As it is situated right next to the house the toilet and kitchen/fridge are easily accessible. It was nice to sit in the garden in the sun and have breakfast, dinner or tea. The bus stops at the end of the road and you can either go into Box Hill central for the shops, amenities or the train into the city or go the other way and get the tram into the city. The tram stop is only a 15 minutes walk from Konrad's to Wattle Park. I would fully recommend anyone to stay with Konrad and his family. Thanks for the great time Konrad.

The place is clean and tidy , whilst Konrad is a friendly host providing me all the convenience . A pleasant to stay.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
